Hi there, having a huge problem. whenever i go to certain websites, it says click to run an active x control on this site, i press enter then an error report comes up. i've sent this lots of times but nothing has changed. it used to let me access the site, but now, it's just error dialogue after error dialogue. is there a programme or something to fix this?

You really should get your system diagnosed.
It sounds like something isn't right with windows.

yeah, i had it diagnosed the other day and everything seemed okay. may phone the support place up again if it's still not good.

You might not be able to install ActiveX controls if the system administrator has disabled the ability to install them or if you are using a standard user account.
So you should check that your account is listed as an administrator or is a member of the Administrators group.

Yeah, you should check whether or not you're an administrator. If you are, go to Google to find a solution. Just type in "Enabling Active-X Controls in IE"

Watch out though, if you install the wrong ones, or if you give a script permission to execute a potentially powerfull activeX control, it could comprimise your security, so only allow the ones you trust, just a note of caussion.
